Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the age of legal majority in your country to use 4Luv. By accepting these Terms, you represent that you meet this requirement, that you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law, and that the information you provide during signup — including your birthdate — is accurate. If we discover an account belonging to someone under 18, we will terminate the account and delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4Luv is intended for individuals using the app for personal dating purposes, not for commercial, research, or automated use.

2. Your account

• One account per person. You may not create accounts for other people, buy, sell, or transfer accounts.
• You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion follows the process and timelines described in the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with section 6 (Enforcement).

3. The Service, as it is today

4Luv provides introductions and communication tools between consenting adults, including profile pages, a Compatibility Score, daily match lists, chat, moderation, and reporting. The Compatibility Score is a matching aid derived from information you and other users provide. It is not a psychological, clinical, or scientific assessment; it does not predict relationship outcomes; and it is not medical or therapeutic advice.

We are a company building a product, not a crystal ball. We do not guarantee that you will receive any minimum number of matches, dates, relationships, or outcomes of any kind. Features evolve; we may add, change, or remove parts of the Service, and we will use reasonable efforts not to degrade the core experience for active users.

4. Your content

You own the content you submit to 4Luv — photos, prompts, messages, and everything else you create ('Your Content'). By posting Your Content, you grant 4Luv a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and adapt it solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service — for example, showing your profile to potential matches, generating previews in notifications, or demonstrating features in marketing (which we will only do with content you've separately consented to share).

You promise that you own or have the rights to everything you post, that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or the law, and that it contains no imagery of identifiable third parties who haven't consented.

You can remove Your Content by deleting it or your account. Removal happens subject to the caching, backup, and safety-retention exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others, or post hate speech or content that demeans people based on who they are.
• Post sexual content where prohibited by our Community Guidelines, or send unsolicited explicit images.
• Impersonate anyone, create fake profiles, or misrepresent who you are or why you're here.
• Use the Service to solicit money, financial schemes, investments, or donations from other users.
• Attempt to manipulate the matching system, exploit bugs for unfair visibility, or use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
• Collect other users' personal data, or attempt to de-anonymize, locate, or identify anyone beyond what they have chosen to share — including trying to determine a person's exact location from the coarse areas we provide.
• Post illegal content or use the Service to plan or facilitate illegal activity.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service itself, or infringe our intellectual property (the 4Luv name, logo, and design are ours).
• Use the Service for advertising, spam, or phishing of any kind.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We operate a safety-first service: automated systems and human moderators review flagged content and reports from users. We may remove content, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, in line with our Community Guidelines and applicable law (including the EU Digital Services Act where it applies).

When we take enforcement action that affects your account, we will normally explain why and tell you how to appeal — except where doing so would risk safety, legal investigations, or platform abuse. Appeals are reviewed by a human who wasn't involved in the original decision.

7. Premium subscriptions (future feature)

Premium tiers, prices, and any billing features will be announced when the app launches; nothing on the current website constitutes an offer for sale. When subscriptions exist, they will be subject to additional terms covering auto-renewal (which you can cancel any time, with access continuing through the end of the paid period), refunds as required by applicable law, and billing through your App Store or Google Play account. Pricing changes take effect for future billing cycles after notice.

8. Third parties and app stores

The Service may be distributed through app stores (including Apple's App Store and Google Play), and you follow their terms for downloading and for any purchase through them. These Terms are between you and 4Luv — the app stores are not parties, and 4Luv (not the store) is responsible for the content of the app and any claims relating to it.

9. Interactions with other users

You are responsible for your interactions with other users, online and offline. We build safety tools and moderate in good faith, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of any user, the accuracy of what they tell you, or the safety of any meeting you choose to arrange. Read and use our Safety Tips, trust your judgement, and report behaviour that concerns us. 4Luv is not a party to disputes between users.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and including any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that matches, scores, or interactions will meet your expectations. We do not control offline behaviour and make no warranty regarding user safety.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 4Luv will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of reputation, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid (which is currently zero) and [€100 / to be set before launch].

12. Indemnity

If you are using 4Luv in a commercial capacity or your conduct violates these Terms or the law, you agree to defend and indemnify 4Luv against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your content, use of the Service, or violations. This clause does not apply to ordinary personal use of the app where such indemnities are limited by consumer law.

13. Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the issue informally in good faith for at least 30 days.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis (not in a class action), seated in [City, Country — to be inserted before launch], under the rules of [arbitration body — to be inserted]. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected], and either party may bring individual claims in a small-claims court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived by law, including mandatory consumer rights to bring claims in your local courts.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be inserted before launch], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply to you, which continue to govern.

15. Changes and more info

We may update these Terms as the product and law evolve; material changes come with at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email before taking effect, and continuing to use the Service means accepting them. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines and any additional terms shown for specific features, are the whole agreement between you and 4Luv about the Service. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest survive and the clause will be modified to achieve its intent as closely as allowed.
